Sultanpur 09 December / In view of the liquor scandal in Unnao district, a meeting was organized today on 09.12.2023 under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Kritika Jyotsna and Superintendent of Police Somen Verma and in the presence of District Excise Officer Hitendra Shekhar and all the Excise Inspectors.
The following guidelines were given in the said meeting:- 1. Liquor should not be sold in grocery shops or any other shops in any direction and action should be taken against them. 2. In view of the sale of illegal liquor, thorough searches should be conducted at dhabas and suspicious places. 3. Such places should be searched where there is a possibility of smuggling liquor being brought and stored. 4. Information should be obtained about the persons involved in illegal liquor activities by contacting the porters and aminos of ration shops. 5. CCTV cameras should remain active. Action should be taken on this as per rules with the cooperation of SDM and Police Department. 6. Intensive checking of liquor shops should be done, if any irregularity is found, strict action should be taken as per rules.
