In view of the upcoming Ramotsav program to be organized in Ayodhya, an intensive campaign was launched to remove encroachment from Payagipur intersection to Amhat.

Sultanpur 11 January / In view of the upcoming Ramotsav program to be organized in Ayodhya / Ram Van Path Gaman Marg (from Chitrakoot to Ayodhya), the work of removing encroachment, cleanliness campaign, beautification etc. in view of Shri Ram Charanpaduka Yatra was given by the District Magistrate today. A campaign was launched by the Executive Officer Municipality to catch stray animals through cattle catchers. He informed that about 52 FIRs have been filed by cattle herders for leaving their cattle as strays. It has been done. He informed that within a week FIR has been filed against 30 people. Tax has been registered and penalty has been collected. He said that in future too, if any cow herder’s cattle are found wandering then strictest action will be taken.
Similarly, District Panchayat Raj Officer Abhishek Shukla informed that the Panchayati Raj Department is continuously conducting cleanliness drive by running a cleanliness campaign. District Supply Officer Jeevesh Maurya informed that decorative lights, toilets, cleaning etc. have been done at all the petrol pumps and restaurants/dhabas on the route. Similarly, the District Horticulture Department is ensuring arrangements for ornamental plants, pots etc. on the respective routes.
Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Pankaj Singh held an important meeting with all the concerned departments in the Collectorate Auditorium and gave strict instructions to everyone to speed up their work. While directing the District School Inspector, Basic Education Officer, he said that arrangements for cleanliness, electricity, drinking water etc. should be made in all the schools falling on the route. Similarly, he instructed many other departments including PWD, Electricity, NHI to complete all encroachment and cleanliness drives within 1-2 days.
