Xiaomi SU7 electric car is coming to compete with Porsche Taycan Turbo.

Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi, has unveiled its first car, the SU7 – an all-electric sedan. It is said that the name SU7 is an abbreviation of “Speed Ultra”. It is being said that in terms of performance, the new Xiaomi SU7 will directly compete with the Porsche Taycan Turbo. However, it will also come with intelligent driving features found in cars like the Tesla Model S. The SU7 looks similar to its direct rivals from some angles. The four-door electric sedan comes with LED lighting all around, an active aero wing at the rear, C-shaped LED taillights attached to a light bar, a stylish alloy wheel design and LiDAR technology. Inside, the SU7 will offer connected technology, comfort features and driver assistance like autonomous driving. The display inside the car will use Xiaomi’s software and electronics, which will allow the driver’s smartphone to seamlessly integrate with the car’s infotainment unit.
While exact powertrain details have not been revealed yet, the report says that the Xiaomi SU7 may come with a 101 kWh battery (from BYD and CATL) and will be offered in single-motor and dual-motor configurations. Range is expected to be around 800 km, with the top-spec AWD variant reportedly delivering 634 BHP. The car is expected to be able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds and reach a top speed of 265 km/h.
