Sultanpur 29 December/ A meeting of Vyapar Bandhu was organized in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Krittika Jyotsna. In the meeting, regarding non-payment of the outstanding rent of the shops of District Panchayat located in Birsinghpur, the meeting was informed that the allottees/their representatives will appear in the District Panchayat office on 20.12.2023 and deposit the outstanding amount within 15 days and the shops will be vacant. Consent letter was given to do so. The meeting of the committee which has been formed by the Municipal Council for the issues related to illegal parking, recovery in the name of loading and unloading at various places in the city and inconvenience caused due to jam and traffic in the city, was chaired by the Additional District Magistrate (AD). Administration) in the first week of January, in which instructions were given to inform about all the issues related to municipality and traffic in the next meeting of business friends and the action taken on all those matters.
In the meeting, in order to settle the excessive electricity bills received by the traders despite less usage of electricity, the District Magistrate asked the traders to make a list of the traders against whose electricity bills they have complaints and present it in a phased manner. In this regard, instructions were given to the Superintending Engineer Electricity Department, Sultanpur to resolve the electricity bill complaints of all of them. On the subject of providing the list of fees fixed for license by the Weights and Measures Department, the House was informed that under the Uttar Pradesh Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011, fees related to license/verification of traders will be paid through the online departmental web portal www.legalmetrology. Available at .up.gov.in. Traders can also get fee related information from the office of Senior Inspector Legal Metrology, Sultanpur on the prescribed working days. Therefore, this point is removed from the agenda of Vyapar Bandhu with the permission of Madam Speaker.
In the meeting, on the subject related to food sampling of sweets and restaurant traders, the gathering was informed that the work of inspection and sampling is done by food safety officers by following the procedure laid down in the Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and related rules, 2011. As per the instructions given by Madam Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, the information about the action taken in the special campaigns is generally given in the press/media as per the rules. Apart from the above, news is published by various newspapers/journalists themselves. In the meeting, the traders raised the issue regarding the delay in the construction work of Gopaldas Bridge, in connection with which the Public Works Department informed the meeting that the construction work will be completed by January 15.
