A total of 20 children/adolescents were freed from shops/hotels/dhabas/construction sites/workshops etc. by running a special campaign in the district.

Sultanpur December 12/Assistant Labor Commissioner Madhuban Ram has informed that as per the instructions of the Honorable National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, the task force formed under the able guidance of District Magistrate Kritika Jyotsna, is investigating the service recruiters who employ child/adolescent labor in Sultanpur district. Regular campaigns are being run against them and action is being taken as per rules against the service employers found guilty.

He informed that in the special campaign conducted from November 20 to December 10, 2023, a total of 20 child/adolescent workers have been identified/released from shops/hotels/dhabas/construction sites/workshops etc. and notices were also issued against the guilty employers. It is and it will continue in future also. He has requested all the employers not to employ children/adolescents below 18 years of age, because this has an adverse effect on their health and they are deprived of fundamental rights like education.
